We stayed at this cosy property for a few nights and it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cleanliness and coziness of the place immediately made us feel at home. Kate and Steve, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Kate even provided helpful recommendations for places to visit. The location was ideal, with a peaceful balcony overlooking the river - a great spot to unwind. We also loved that there was a dog-friendly pub within walking distance - our furry friend had a blast exploring the nearby river walk.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The cottage was clean and well-maintained, with a lovely balcony overlooking a river. It was so relaxing to sit out there and feed the ducks. The owners were very friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations for nearby places to eat. The location was great for going on walks and exploring the area. Plus, they even left us some bread, milk, butter, and marmalade which was a nice welcoming touch.
Although the overall experience was good, one small downside was the lack of a pizza cutter. We had all the ingredients to make our own pizza in the cottage's pizza oven, but couldn't find a way to cut it.

I had a fantastic stay at a beautiful cottage near a peaceful river. The location was perfect, allowing me to easily explore the nearby Peak District. The cottage itself was clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated. I especially enjoyed the terrace, where I could relax and watch birds on the water. The host, Kate, was lovely and provided helpful advice on local attractions and dining options. To top it off, the welcome food, including fresh eggs, was a good touch. I highly recommend this wonderful place to stay.

Kate and Steve were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Kate was really helpful prior to arriving and also with her recommendations of where to visit. River walk to town and to exercise the dog. Pub within walking distance with great food and welcomed the dog too. the cottage is full of character, beautifully decorated with obvious attention to detail and care. Spotless and very comfortable. the balcony is beautiful, very relaxing to sit with a book, also feeding the ducks was a big hit! Kate, our host, was so welcoming and gave great tips for places to visit. the location is brilliant, we didn't want to leave!
Felt totally at home, no complaints at all.

From our balcony, we enjoyed breakfast while watching ducks happily swim in the peaceful river below. The personal touches and attention to detail made this place stand out from the rest. The host was helpful and caring, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. The location was ideal for country walks, and we were able to explore the beautiful surroundings easily. we felt right at home and didn't want to leave!
Although we had an amazing stay, there were a few minor drawbacks. One thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter, which would have been helpful considering the number of pizza oven bases available.
